Heh heh, I've got one of those too.  My dad brought it back from a business trip to Arizona.

I went to a job interview with a company that works with aggregates and various minerals, and their reception had a smoothered rock floor, and a wall of different smooth rocks, plus various rocks on plinth and pools of gravel.

I've got an orb of some type of stone around here somewhere, no clue what kind it is though. I did a lot of rock colloecting as a kid as well, so I'm sure I can find some DF rocks if I go looking for them in my collection.
