Because it's a possible outcome and if the Demon isn't shoved into your prison ASAP none of us will really have the power to oppose it due to the fact that we all have used up most of our power and have basically planned to lay low for a few turns while rebuilding our power base?

If it works, great! If it doesn't and the Demon doesn't get in, then you might have a wasted Mighty Act! If the Demon gets in and the prison doesn't work, it'll be interesting at least.
