Story time-
Our family is sitting around watching a movie while I play dwarf fortress. I mention to my oldest son "Oh look, a chinchilla." My son declares that I need to capture one and start a zoo. This really wasn't anything that I'd been thinking about doing so I'm not ready in anyway for such a task. I mention that I don't have any cages, I'm not sure how I'm going to round them up and so on. And as I continue to make excuses for how this isn't going to happen I finally just look at him and say "I don't have anything I could use to build the zoo with."

With an expression of pure confusion clearly aware of something I've missed my son looks at me and says "You have dwarfs."

He's right, too.  So long as you have dwarves and a pickaxe things you can make a pickaxe with, you can eventually make a zoo.
