I am using SpaceFox. How do I fix this?

This happens because the game does not distinguish between "gameplay" icons, such as a dwarf, a coffin, and a shrub, and "text" icons, such as a smiley face, a zero, and a colon. In vanilla ASCII DF, each item in that list corresponds to the other, so if the game wants to say "here's a coffin" and "here's a zero [most often used in the FPS indicator]", it uses the same letter: a zero.

But graphics replace BOTH the "gameplay" and "text" icons, so any zeroes will be shown as coffins, any colons as shrubs, and so on.

Or you can play with the "ASCII" (really code page 437) symbols, the way Toady One intended.
