Microsoft changed the update System for the worse if you ask me. They took a lot of control away. I liked to install the updates when I want to and I also liked going through the list of patches and unchecking stuff that I didn't want to be installed beforehand. This is now either impossible or I haven't found the Options yet.
On the other Hand, this may be better for the common user. I am in Charge of the update rollout in the Company I work for and you'd be surprised how Little ~~some~~ most People care about security updates. So I can understand where Microsoft is coming from on this Point.

They removed the ability to not install updates from the home edition, but the pro edition still has full functionality I believe.
