[16]: As the wolves flee into the night, badly blooded, Francois recalls the scent....a full-blooded werewolf. Those they had fought were nothing more than Whelps. Such creatures were the equivalent of fledglings; little more than humans with fur. A real werewolf would be far stronger and far more cunning. That it did not engage in the fight itself was odd....
But there were other things to worry about. The servitor Kyron had been badly mauled; such automatons were never meant to fight, or at least not something like a werewolf. In its current state, it was unlikely it would be able to escort them any farther or get back south.
While the werewolves have made off with several of the caravan's goods, none were from the party.
