I've played Wayward before and liked it, but that was a while back... I should check to see what has changed. Keep the ideas coming! I've never heard of Unturned, need to give that a try.

Think of it as Minecraft meats DayZ, with more DayZ things getting added in (Tetris storage is one thing thats being added)

A paid one that is cheap is dont starve. It is real time and no stats. Lots of crafting. There is a demo on the web if you google the name.

Unturned actually looks pretty cool. Anyone else have some more? Don't starve is fun, I've played the demo, but it just doesn't have that feel I'm going for. Any others?

NEO Scavenger is worth a look, a little more abstract and pretty short but still a lot of fun. 10 bucks but it has a demo.

I've had a survival roguelike ala Lost in Blue in mind for a while.

Probably should start making it soon now that I found a suitable language...

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup has a hunger mechanic but no crafting. It sounds like you're more into the open-world thing so that might not be your style, but it's a really enjoyable roguelike that you can download or play in your browser.
