Alright, I know there aren't too many roguelikes that have overworlds out there, but I know there is perhaps one I have not heard of yet.
I have played Ivan, Adom I and II, UnReal World, DF adventurer mode, cactaclysm DDA, Rogue survivor, and Elona, but for my Roguelike overworld preference I like my overworlds being random everytime, having different dungeons scattered all around the world, and being moved to different places with each world, randomly generated locations, etc.
Oh yeah, I prefer roguelikes in the fantasy setting, but its okay if you put post-apocalyptic roguelikes or any other roguelike genres, as long as they have a overworld. So yeah you know of any?

La-mulana doesn't even have a real overworld, since it's pretty much one big interconnected dungeon. And it's not a rouge-like in any way shape or form. So... I don't quite understand the suggestion.

About the only ones I can think of myself you mentioned already, besides ToME and some angband varients. Though ToMEs overworld is non random if I remember right, and more a source of frustration than actual fun exploration last I played. Bandlikes are also not the most popular sub genre these days so I'm unsure what to suggest

What you're describing doesn't really sound like a traditional roguelike at all (in which you generally have a clear goal to achieve in a dungeon, or perhaps a set of dungeons if it happens to involve going to the surface at some point - not sure how that would work in a game with lots of randomly generated dungeons).  The closest thing I can think of really would be a refined version of DF's Adventure Mode.

e: I guess it depends on how far you're willing to stretch the definition of "overworld", there are plenty of roguelikes where you get lots of branches off the main dungeon

Caves of Qud is a post-apocalypic Roguelike with an overworld. Not really randomly generated though. Individual dungeons and stuff are, but the overworld itself is always to some extent the same.

Actually, I had an idea for a game like this once, where it would play sorta like a Legend of Zelda game, but with more procedural generation.

I am unfortunately incapable of coding. :(

Maybe I'm not understanding what the OP wants, but... what feature is he looking for that Cata:DDA doesn't have, exactly?

Dungeon delving? I'm a bit behind on C:DDA updates, though, so it could have been added.

Z+ Angband checks off most of OP's preferences, at least formally. It's not in development for some years already, though. Overworld is probably the most interesting out of all band-likes, but even if dungeons are themed, one world's "ruin"-themed dungeon won't be much different from other world's "ruin". Still, exploring the world to find towns with shops and guilds with quests and dangerous and safer territories makes for a good diversion to typical angband crawling.

Hey, humans are greedy. Even when DF will inevitably simulate everything anyone would ever want to simulate in a game, people will likely still be looking for other games sometimes.

I wonder ... is it smart amunition or dumb amunition?

Maybe because Cata has too much of everything :P

Ehh, I can think of reasons for this belonging in either Other Games, General Discussion, or even Life Advice.

Not really a roguelike, but get dosbox and try out DaggerFall, since it has a massive overworld, and heaps of really huge / complex dungeons.
