you can

1. not look at the compass in he first place

2. switch it to a different quest so you cant tell where you have to go.

the tutorial is the same.....well so is every other quest in the game. id rather go through the tutorial over and over then just magically teleport out of the prison with all the items i could have gotten.

...I don't...  What?  What are you trying to do?  Let's for a moment say that not never looking at the bottom of the screen isn't a completely ridiculous suggestion, even then, the game is designed to require you to use the quest compass to find things.  Without it there's no way to know where you're going since no one gives directions, because you have a quest compass.  There's also still the big pop up messages that appear in the center of the screen and stop the game, requiring you to press the ok button on them before you can continue.  "Just don't read them!"  You're right, the game isn't bad at all if you just ignore everything wrong with it!

The other quests aren't mandatory.

Hm, more on topic, are the F3 Brotherhood really a bunch of goody two shoe paladins of the Wasteland now?

Not really, the main group decided that saving the wasteland population was more important then looting near non-existent technology but still regard the rest of humanity as little more then farm animals too weak to defend themselves. There's another group that decided to stick to the original plan and care more about the laser pistol you are holding then you. The "new" brotherhood completely ignores you until you defeat a super mutant behemoth in front of them. At which point they see you as a "native with potential". It requires wrecking an entire enclave base before they recognize you as someone on par with them. The "old" brotherhood treats you like shit throughout the entire game and even the dlc that involves you fetching them much the most valuable treasure in the game for them.

Hurray for CRPG logic!

"Well, now that you've single-handedly killed fifteen wolves, here's an iron sword!"

Um, coincidence?  Or not?  Either way, someone with photoshop, get crackin!

I just found the uncanny similarity funny and figured they'd be even funnier combined.

Thats one hell of a necro and im sorry, but back in the day i was using a weapon mod that added lots of americans assault rifle with add-on such as laser sight, acog sights reflex etc.

The only thing i remember is that picture becuase i made it my wallpaper. Im pretty sure its a shot in the dark but just in case somebody did use the same mod as i did and remember the mod name.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

No matches for the image on tineye or google images... however, FOOK 2 added numerous American/Russian/etc AR's and some weapon mods to go with. Perhaps looking through its documentation on the Nexus could point you to the source mod they got the guns from?

I recall many of the FOOK2 guns had very clean texturing like that, might be a place to start.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.
