an advantage to the Planepacked glitch
« on: March 21, 2012, 02:56:00 am »

I just had a child become possessed, and take over a Crafts shop. Just for the hell of it, I burrowed her out of the workshop so that I would get a Planepacked-type artefact. When I undid the restriction, she sat in the shop muttering about needing leather and gems. However, just to see what would happen, I re-enacted the burrow restriction.

She promptly got up and started collecting more stones!

It seems that if your dorf wants stuff that you don't have available yet, you can stall for time by enforcing the Planepacked glitch. This could certainly come in handy.

There's safe. Then there's unsafe. And then there's the average dwarf fort, which remains unrated because the OSHA inspector flatly refused to go anywhere within a dozen miles of the place.

I belive this is a known fact.

Bugger, I hate being late to the party

I got lucky with this one, it was stone. I wound up with an amulet (boring!) that seems to describe the early history of the Monarchy, it has depictions of the ascensions of a King and 3 Queens.
