Now make her your captain. Make sure she bunks with half a dozen legendary potash makers. Keep your slightly more useful dwarves  out of her path.

Imagine the will it took to create a fortress like this. And what have you elves built? Nothing. You can only loot and break. You're not dwarves!! You're just termites at Versailles.

It's not that I don't suffer, it's that I know the unimportance of suffering, I know that pain is to be fought and thrown aside, not to be accepted as part of one's soul and as a permanent scar across one's view of existence.

Just nickname every one and when next victim falls make slab for the victim... It will show the nickname of the murderer with his true name.

Nickname bug got fixed in .34.5

It still works with Slabs...
Vamp needs to be nicknamed at the time when he/she kills the victim for that name to come on slab... If you name nickname Urist Mcdwarf to 'Vamp' Mcdwarf Slab will show you that killer was 'Vamp' Mcrealname... Nicknaming on other issues is fixed what i've seen.

The simple thing I do in 34.05, when I suspect a vampire, is give him a nickname, and then check his relationships/deity screen.  The nickname applies to both his fake and his real name, so if, in his deity screen, I see 'Vamp3' Anviltribes cursed to thirst for blood, I'm pretty sure Vamp3 is a vampire.  So far, accurately convicted 3 suspects without a single casualty (suspected them based on civilization memberships).

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...<P>It should be pretty fun though.
