The client is just putty with some good ttf tileset fonts (Mayday and so on).  Just extract it, install the fonts you want, and run the .bat for the Wierd server. 

I noticed there is a Siege!  Also, what country is this server located in?  So people know about how much lag to expect.

Server is located approximately in Hutchinson Kansas, United States. Hosted on CenturyLink DSL.
Server is an intel i7 running xubuntu 11.10, 64bits flavor.

As for getting putty to play nice... I have results!

I set 4 more slots, and renamed the already existing one.

More about slots:

Each "Slot" is a unique running copy of dwarf fortress. This means that the server could theoretically have 5 copies running at once. (EEK! Good thing it has 8 cores!) Each is broken down into a player skill level.  I dont hope to have to enforce that, but I have noticed several berry picker forts in the single slot previously.

I broke it down into the following:

Slot 1 (!!FUN!! Only!)
Slot 2 (Advanced Players)
Slot 3 (Typical Elf-Killer types)
Slot 4 (Easy Beginner Fortresses)

There is a hidden Slot 5, that only I can turn on, but anyone can watch. (Only I can control.) It is called "Show and Tell" and has my fortresses in it. (I dont want somebody starting my fort when I am not home, and then releasing the !!FUN!! without me!)

If the issue with sluggishness persists, I will call my ISP and ask for a reduction in download speed, and a conversion to business class so I have good upload speed.  More tweeking of the baudrate in PuTTY may be necessary, but without an actual remote location to test from, I cant really evaluate that.

If you created a fortress earlier, and would like it moved out of the !!FUN!! ONLY! section into one of the others, please make a post in this thread and I will do it for you.
