Also of note: When you order gloves/gauntlets/shoes/socks/etc to be made, they will produce as many as needed to accommodate the creature.  If you modded in dwarves with 6 hands, then a single gauntlet job would produce 6.  Now, I think this is based on the [GRASP] tag, so if you made beards able to grasp then they'd produce 3 per job and would wear one on the beard.  Very likely, you'd just get a "Gauntlet" made, instead of a Right/Left, because the beard doesn't have
or
assigned.

Of course it's NOT silly!

I am sorry for ever even conisidering that it might be silly.

I find it funny that until now, no one (including myself) stopped to consider the absurdity of a submarine in which the crew cabin is filled with water and the crew is drowning when everything is working properly.

At least Witchblade becomes a full armor when you're really in trouble...
That includes 2 boots.

It's treated as completely normal because this is Dwarf Fortress.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with a wall of flames, only to later realize that you're surrounded by a wall of flames.
There's nothing that can't be solved by hurling fifteen roc birds at it.

I just got an artifact steel battle axe, so I'm alright with the boot now :D

The landscape routinely being soaked in flammable fluids somehow seems less than benevolent.
