I think Subversion is not necessarily  dead...in his blog he mentioned this also....good decision to postpone sth until you realize how to make it^^

And to publicly be very open about the 'mistakes' which you have done - I have to say respect!...you do not see this often!

Well, it seems that the folks at Introversion look at all the pieces, and think "but what is the story? where's the fun?", then try to shoehorn a linear gamecore about shoplifting or something.

I look at the pieces and I think "open-ended fractal world simulator."

Good thing they don't try to make games like Dwarf Fortress.

Welp, bumping this thread in case anyone /hadn't/ heard that the Humble Bundle has two of the world generators from Subversion as a bonus AND has also revealed the first footage of new Introversion game Prison Architect which frankly looks a lot further along than I might have expected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ZX_DnZ_uMQg

The real question is: Are we talking Regular Max. Sec. Prison, Guantanamo Bay or a Triple Max prison ("all back of the bus")?
