Mildly tempted to report the OP for trolling, since he's either refused or been negligent about changing the OP to reflect the fact that the dispute is over the term 'illegals' and not 'illegal immigrant', and that nobody is actually trying to make the phrase unlawful.

Might want to send a PM to the OP before reporting. It's not universally acknowledged that people have the duty or even right to moderate their own threads. I wasn't aware of it here until I saw Toady posting something about it when the progressive thread got locked. At least to me this seems like a clear case of ignorance over malice as far as opening post & thread title go.
