First dwarven thought when a MASSIVE wave of lava is bearing down on the embark wagon? "Good thing this trusty anvil is magma-safe."

ARMOK! IT'S ARMOK!

You haven't had enough magma in your diet, have you?

Oh. I guess the magma flood is a time traveled punishment. :(

Use dfliquids to disappear the lavafalls.

I think dorfs can run faster than magma flows in this version, so running to the other side of the map may be beneficial.

And if nothing else works, use DFhack's dfliquids to either remove the magma when it comes too close or make some obsidian to stop it. Just digging that U-bend thingy is of course more dwarfy, but for a map like this I'd consider cheating a little, if your dwarves are too slow.

And I think, that's one of the very few problems for which "MORE MAGMA!" is not a good solution. Probably the only one...

You're wrong. REALLY wrong. If the overground LAVA would become underground MAGMA all of his problems would evaporate. Evaporate like your fat will evaporate in magmabath 03 for doubting Dwarven dogmas, elf traitor!
