Then again, You have to understand that some most all of my forts were kill zones for nobles.

I'm all for X-com, but there appears to be a LP on it, so it's a no-go. Besides, it's too common in LP's. It's not difficult to understand why, as you can name the poor souls that die to aliens.

I fully expect some limitations on our insane demands, so if you can kill us off nice and quick-like then you face fewer demands. To that end maybe you could make some Watchers could be distinct nobles and you could replace them whenever they die, and hold a community meeting once a game-year and let everyone else throw a vote in on one or two issues.

We could also select nobles from among the ranks and would probably select reasonable watchers to be nobles.  And keep in mind that some of our demands might be quite reasonable.  No one is going to go mandating crystal scepters at the start.  It's once the fort is up and established that we will mandate appropriately ostentatious displays of wealth.

To save you from the DF Noble LP idea...

...why not do X-Com: Apocalypse? There's one LP on the forum, true, but AFAIK it's been dead since January. And yeah, naming the poor sods that die to aliens is half the fun.
