Firstly, I tried several good biome embarks and none had sun berries
Secondly,

Well the underground is neither good nor evil, horizontally. The first cavern is "good", the second "neutral", and the third "evil".

Wrong, on evil biome squares you will encounter zombie and skeletal cavern, magma sea and circus creatures.
