How dynamic is Adventure mode compared to DF mode?
« on: May 10, 2011, 07:40:59 pm »

Is the world in Adventure mode static or does the game still simulate a living world? Because whenever I play adventure mode the world seems pretty static.

It's still static outside your fortress, too...

Ohh I thought the world world still evolved regardless of what you did in both modes. So your saying after the world is generated that's it? It just stays static when you actually play it?

Yep. It's a bit of a shame... Hopefully one day further generation will be implemented, either in the form of a regular, end-of-year chunk of generation, or maybe an option in the main menu to continue world gen. :)

Not the whole thing. Just the primary core.

But yes, as the game currently stands, once world gen stops, it STOPS. Whatever you the player do, and you the player cause to happen, those are the only things that occur in the whole world.

I find it quite interesting to see what you can cause when looking back in legends mode.

Christ, are you dwarves or are you elves? If you think Hell has too many demons, then youkill them till the population reaches an acceptable number.
Dwarf Fortress: So horrifying the players would rather talk about nice things, like Warhammer 40k.
