Kobold bandit camp
« on: May 05, 2011, 04:01:35 pm »

Small-sized world, 250 years of history, latest DF version. Found a bandit camp full of kobolds. I thought, they die out in worldgen. Looks surprising.

Wait, did you even introduce yourself?...

...Anyway, don't kill them. They're a gem, so you must protect them, or avoid them. Once you get generally well-loved enough, get some quests from them.

But I will hate you forever if you kill them.

You did it already, didn't you...

Woops . One of them was split into upper and lower body. So weak, so fragile... There were only three of them, may be the last three...

Those are Kobold Wanderers.  They're a type of adventurer that civs send out.  In this case they "went wandering" before their civilization died out, and have been subsisting on the land and stolen goodies ever since.  Every once in a while they'll settle in a town, too.  They get mobbed once they steal something, tho.
