There's an electrum easter egg?  I never heard about that...

And when you build your fortress walls from the bones of skeletal elephants, slain my weapons forged from melted goblin plunder, fed on cattle that graze on grass that blinks.  Then, you will know dwarfdom.

I guess, he's talking about this:

http://df.magmawiki.com/index.php/40d:Easter_eggs#Dungeons_and_Dragons

That seems not to work in 2010 anymore.

It only worked in earlier pre-2010 versions.

Ask and you shall receive!

If you go into the manager screen in 40d and type in elec followed by anything BUT the letter T (no idea why), you get this message:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm going to go ahead and add this to the wiki, so nobody else will have to scrounge up an old copy of 40d to figure it out.

Just for posterity's sake, is Electrum a well-known metal in DND?

In 2nd edition, yes. It was taken out in 3rd edition, probably because they didn't want the weird math of an electrum piece begin worth either 1/2 a gold piece or 5 silver pieces in their more 'streamlined' rules. I can't say for 4th, I've never managed to get far enough into the books to see before I got bored with them.

Wheelbarrows with wheels are inferior to the true wheelbarrow.
you mean elves with loads of stone loaded onto their backs while walking on their hands with dwarves holding their legs to guide them?

Alloy of gold and silver. AFAIK, not very widely used in actual metalwork.

I'm sure electrum was in 3rd edition. I started with third and I've used it more then enough times, I dont know of anywhere else I could have learned about it. Anyways, looking at easter eggs does anybody else think the moss one is completely awesome?

there is an image of the goblin Utes Gozrusrozsnus and dwarves in elf bone. The goblin is making a plaintive gesture. the dwarves are striking a menacing pose.
this image relates to the slaying of Utes Gozrusroz

It did have some use in pyramids, though. Remember this for when you build one - the top was usually made out of electrum.

Those Egyptians were pretty pimpin'.
