I use Dwarf Therapist, soundSense, and a tileset.

Wish I could make it so days last longer without changing dwarf speed.

I remove the [SLEEP_PRETENSION] tokens from nobles because I like to build fantastic tombs and rooms for my favourite dwarves.

You could, of corse, make a custom position, going by the name of something like 'epic dorf', with unlimited numbers that you choose, then give them [SLEEP_PRETENSION]...

What does the [SLEEP_PRETENSION] tag do?

It causes nobles with that tag to get annoyed with any dwarf who isn't a noble with that tag and have a better bedroom. So by making a new noble with that tag, they will no longer get annoyed if you assign awesome bedrooms to them.

I change all instances of Aluminum to Aluminium, I delete dogs, cats and a bunch of useless animals and replace them with Crocodile Monitors. I also fiddle perpetually with creatures because I'm a creature modder.

Oh, and hardcore wamblers. They're vicious little black bastards. They like fighting but they're tiny!

Modification: I also use the Genesis civs, but I've removed several bits and changed them around. They now bear so little similarity to Genesis that it's not worth mentioning.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Genesis and [SPEED:1]. I find Genesis to be most helpful for variety.
