It didn't crash when I tried it, and the only things I'd changed were replacing their equipment with the vanilla stuff and removing HUMANOID_JOINTS_4ARMS. If it's neither of those things, it's probably something in a different entry.

Perhaps they need shoes, gauntlets, toys etc. before they will civ.

Tried it with removing 4joints etc. part. Still crashes; it's probably the lack of certain clothes as everything works fine in arena mode.

Anyways, off to bed now, thanks alot for your help.

Hmmn, added gloves, a bow and arrow, and sandals. It still doesn't work.
On the plus side, ranged weaps seem much slower (and thus balanced) now! (Arena mode battles are mondo, but I can't play fortress mode.)

Right guys, so one of the races crashes the game, but the other one works (!!!) this is awesome. Here's a slightly easier question for anyone willing to answer - what "Responsibility" position does the job in the declaration of war? I want some bloodshed between civs.

If you don't mind, message me for my email so you could compress and send me your raw folder, and I'll check out the crashing error.

As for war during world gen, it's got nothing to do with positions if I'm not mistaken; it's all based on opposing ethics.

Of course, I could be wrong, and if I am, it might be that the [RESPONSIBILITY:MILITARY_GOALS] token covers that... Then again, perhaps civs require both a position with that AND the opposing ethics situation. [LIKES_FIGHTING] might also aid in the permeation of wars.

Unless someone else knows better than I, I think I smell... !!SCIENCE!! or at least the equivalent for us modders.

Trying LIKES_FIGHTING now. The two civs in question's ethics are...well, not polar opposites, but fairly different.

With ethics try just one thing extreme, such as say one have animal trophies as acceptable and another as unthinkable, or something like that.  All it takes is that one ethic to start a war, apparently.

And let me know how [LIKES_FIGHTING] works. By the way, that goes in creature, not entity.

The ethics grid is quite useful in seeing if civs will go to war or not, I'll check that if this doesn't work. I'm aware of the location of the LIKES_FIGHTING tag, btw XD but thanks anyhow.
