Yes I know how you like to link instead of answering questions but why do you need guns to be bad ass? It seems not to fit so much.

Make giant bombs is more like.

Seriously, if a mad scientist needs a gun then they are the opposite of impressive. You should be able to make a small, timed nuclear bomb out of a human ear, while it is still attached to the head of someone who is trying to kill you. That would make you scary, having a gun just means that you aren't mad enough to pose a threat without it...

I can't make Ass Pulls thanks to Qloos. Where would I get the materials? The explosives? Therefore, I need STUFF. Or at least some magnets. Guass guns can be pretty damn epic I guess... But still. Need parts.

It's a fucking gauss gun. Gauss. Gun. At least I think that term applies here. The set-up looks like this:

You push the first one along the rail, and if I understand the principal right, it bumps into the next magnet which shoots away and bumps into the NEXT magnet, repeat, which then bumps into a last orb and it goes flying off the rail. Cue badass collision. If I understand aerodynamics correctly, you could replace it with a bullet-like projectile and kill things with it.
