When fulfilling a trade agreement, what value gets multiplied?

For example, say I have an offer for "Headwear, 200%". I sell them a hood that menaces with spikes of obsidian and is studded with silver (doesn't sound like a very comfortable hat). Just for sake of example, suppose it is worth 80☼ and the decorations total 460☼.

In that example, would they value it at 2 times the price of the hood, plus the unmodified cost of the decorations (620)? Or would I get 2 times the total price (1080)?

(Also, I just noticed that the agreement is for handware, not headwear, but the question stands)

From what I can tell, decorations don't actually add to the price paid by the trader.

I had some bone crossbows that I gussed up with shell and they sold for 10.

Some traders are picky. For example, elves ignore decorations which "menace with spikes". But usually they are considered. If they are multiplied or not, I don't know. I suspect yes, but I'm not sure.

@qoonpooka: Try making Copper crafts studded with platinum.
Copper craft by itself? Around 20 dwarfbucks.
Platinum studded copper craft? 1600 dwarfbucks or so.

Thanks to everyone, and sorry it took so long to get back a say thanks. Looks like I'm going to have to experiment myself to find out, if I get a conclusive answer, I'll let you know.
