Fording small rivers.

Why can dwarves ford small rivers without a problem? This seems odd. They can just walk over the surface of the water...sometimes for an extended duration...without swimming. This even though the water below them is 7/7. Is there a special rule concerning rivers and dwarf movement?

I think the gameplay section needs a bigger font than the others.
