The point is...um...Scots like DF?

Hell yes we do!  :D

I always imagine my dwarfs have a Scottish accent.  Do Scot's give there dwarfs a different accent...say Asian?

I like imagining them with Welsh accents.

Here, or there?

And yeah, we're pretty friendly to people who don't get the learning curve as well. "How do I blank" threads are quickly answered and sink to the bottom, to be referenced later, rather than devolving into flamewars with the admins, or worse things.

E-gads, that's worse than the WoW forums. At least the admins were civil, even if 90% of what they said was political double-talk. Just wow.

Now I know why I love the bay12games forums so much.

Always give my Dwarves Scottish accents, even though I'm Scottish and live in Scotland.
It just seems to work, laddie.

Surprising how many Scots there are that play DF, really... must appeal to our nature.
Violence? Check.
Booze? Check.
Facial Hair? Check.

Yeah, I'd say it does. :D

Being Scottish, I give the Dwarves Scottish accents. To be honest, though, everyone gets Scottish accents in my head.

In my head there are no accent's unless I focus.  Even though I have one when I speak (bit of a mish-mash of American accents, really, plus I switch into my fakes without thinking.  Especially after my trip to Europe).

Scots like :
1.Drinking all the time
2.Complaining all the time *especially the nationalists
3.Violence

Dwarfs like
1.Drinking all the time
2.Complaining all the time
3.Violence

Scots like all of these.
Dwarfs like all of these.
Scots are Dwarfs.

I have always thought of dwarfs to have scottish accents, we were really big on mining here until 30 years ago.
We also have a history of producing a demographically large number of engineers.
And i have never even seen a kobold or an elf so i guess we must have wiped them all out centuries ago, they probably coveted our booze.

Scots are Dwarfs

A is B
C is B
Thus A is C

That is a logical falacy!

If A and B are both subsets of C then it is reasonable to assume there will be some overlap between A and B. Thus, Scottish Dwarves are out there and mining the highlands as we speak.

Let me see here Tenebrias

A = Dwarves?
B = Scots?
C = Things Dwarves Like / Things Scots Like

A is C
B is C
Thus A sometimes B
Thus A is B

Hmmm I am sensing a logical falacy here...

Yes, you're missing the middle. Basically you are saying that all members of a group (of unclear definition) are the same. You could say with the same logic:

Champions are dwarves
Soapmakers are dwarves
Champions are Soapmakers

Men are human
Women are human
Men are women

My soapmakers are all either champions or corpses. Bit of a bad comparison there.

Uh, before you start picking apart logical fallacies like that, you should probably think about where you are and what you're talking about.
