I thought Coca-Cola just had coca leaves in it, not cocaine.  And I'd like to remind people that they're not the same bloody thing!

I'm American, and I notice the letters Coca in both words! Of COURSE there is a similarity! In AMERICA!

But really, Coke has a much more interesting history than the rumors spread.

Buck up friendo, we're all on the level here.
I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

at one time it had cocaine, but then 1903 came along (as Duke's article points out).

A lot of people thought cocaine had plenty of health benefits back in the day.

A lot of people thought cocaine had plenty of health benefits back in the day.

Even further back there were groups of scientists who though hallucinatory drugs were a great way to study mental conditions from insanity to mental PC.

This was also the time that started to seriously solidify the view that drugs and artistic talent are related.
