Mechs? Jeez, mechs are an inefficient waste of surface area. If you want firepower, thats what tanks are for.

Once again, you'd need a ton of metal for even a single tank, and miscellaneous other things to run it. Not to mention the metal needed for the ammo :D

I personally don't like the idea of Jafar's demons against my guys, specially since, because of their history with demons, they'd take it upon themselves to completely exterminate them or die trying ( My dudes choices come first, my wish to last longer than 20 turns second   :P)
Mechs seriously aren't that bad, kit your dudes out in full platemail and you'll basically be on an equal level with them. You've got a thriving bunch of half giants (apart from the whole slaughtered village thing), you shouldn't be worried about ANYTHING. My Arti-tokans on the other hand, are in the middle of an isolated island (which I didnt know until I saw Akroma's map), so I'm just gonna twiddle my thumbs until Doulos gets bored of exploring caves.

that you are on an isolated island is actually not quite true.

from the map it looks like much more (from the drawn map) but this is nothing but a gibraltar, not much broader than a river

there being a little ocean was my interpretion, but if you look at the ACTUAL map, which is made of tiles, you will see that there is no ocean tile between you and the continent.

so you are not really on an island, only on a peninsula

And you can always build a raft.

You are also a fair distance away from the demons, and by the time you reach them there won't be much left for you to fight.

Damn, and here I was thinking my dudes were safe  :P.
Oh well, couldn't imagine Doulos and his warriors sailing along on a raft anyway ;D

I'm making a map as well, this one a tile-based image. I am using 20px * 20px tiles, and would like some help with tile creation, at any of your leisures. If no aid, it just gets done slower. At the moment I have Ocean, Lake, Plains, & Savanna tiles complete.

I have stored the work on MediaFire, and will be updating as possible. I will be attempting to employ a layered tile system, so I am using the riverless map as a base for tile placement. Rivers, Towns, Armies, and Roads are smaller features that should not take up an entire tile, and I will be trying to implement that with this map. As a result, I request that none of the above types of tiles be submitted for the time being.

At this very moment, I am splitting my off time between my race stats and this map, so it may go slowly. Fortunately, due to the way I am sectioning the layers into 8*8 blocks, just as in the normal map, everyone can pitch in by uploading 8*8 segments they have done themselves with the tiles presently uploaded. This is entirely up to you guys, as this is only a measure that speeds the creation. I will complete the map eventually, but it will take a lot longer than a community effort. An 8*8 square takes little time to do, and little time to label properly and upload.

Look if you wish to contribute:
