I just found out that nervous wounds do heal. A tiger slashed my spine and soon after it was fine. Bloody humbug.

Instant-healing should only be removed when Toady adds a way to heal that doesn't involve waiting so long that you end up deciding to just mercy kill your character to end his suffering, because falling from a 30 z-level cliff and bursting apart is cooler then laying on a bed while a nurse chews your food for you and spits it into your mouth.</STRONG>

Hey now, retire in hospital and come back later after playing another adventurer or fortress. Problem solved.

This is a fox skull helmet. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It menaces with spikes of fox bone and is encircled with bands of fox leather. This item is haunted by the ghost of Alfador Angrorung the fox.

I don't think the instant heal on travel would be removed until there is a replacement way to heal: bandages, herbs, potions, what have you.

Would you like to dine?  Or have a sip of wine?  Lose a friend and pine.  Go to bed at nine, hear it through the vine?  Sit in the sunshine, or work all day in the mine.  Although I like to rhyme, it's here I draw the line, I'm sure you will be fine.

You forget that you'd have to do this every time you went in a cave.
