Slanthotep couldn't think of anything better to do, so it went with the first idea it had.

1II: A seemingly ordinary but incredibly stylish golden crown with a secret curse: anyone who sees it or spends time near it becomes increasingly obsessed with taking it for him- or herself and wearing it all the time. If you should come to own it, it's not safe even to leave your house with it on, yet the crown tempts you to flaunt it in front of your peers, whispering (metaphorically) of how impressed everyone will be and how your social cachet will improve...

Pleased with its effort, Slanthotep throws the crown in amongst a colony of those weird ant-people, because it seems like they deserve a break from their hard work.
