It is as though it wishes to be a solid, despite merely being rounded mineral struts suspended in a network of elastic and contractile tissue-ropes! And, being unconscious, it is thereby incapable of making wishes!

Happy birthday to my brother.
It sucks that his birthday is so close to the holidays.  In what has become my "getting smashed" zone.  But hey, we often suggested he move the celebration to midsummer, and he refused.
