Day 2:
I wake up to the villagers speaking their language to each other, which I still do not understand at all. The only way I've been able to communicate with them thus far is through hand signals, like when I asked to sleep here last night. Anyway, I walked to the town hall and gave the trader all of the wood I'd gathered, which left them at this point in construction:
I used the money from the trade to buy a scroll on Norman villagers, which was surprisingly in a language I could understand. I learned from the scroll that these people were farmers, and that this was just a small farming village. Chances are, however, that it'll grow with trade and time. After reading from the scroll, I went back out to collect more wood.
I also noticed that the nearby hills were rich in ores, so I collected some of that as well.
I was also hungry, so I bought some food from the farmers that were allowing me to stay with them.
As I was collecting wood, I came across a cave.
I walked on in, and planted some torches around. There's quite a bit of ore in there.
As I was navigating around, I came into VERY close contact with a skeleton, which got a total of 3 arrows in me before I could vanquish it. Luckily, however, it dropped it's bow, giving me a ranged weapon.
I noticed it getting dark, and headed back to town for the night. I shot a few arrows at some skeletons as I walked by, and they landed some pretty good shots on me. I killed one, but ran from the other as it was beginning to get the upper hand.
By the time I arrived back at the house, the family was already sleeping. I decided to call it a night.
