What are scrolls good for?
« on: December 11, 2015, 03:46:05 pm »

So if I understand correctly, sheets can be used to either make scrolls or quires.
Quires are needed in the library to be written on, and can then be made into books.

So what are scrolls used for? Are they written on like quires, and become a finished product without needing to be bound as a book?

Dwarves can write on scrolls just like quires.  Quires can be made into books but scrolls can't.

I've also noticed that visitors might bring scrolls with them, which are generally letters or poems and not science related.

Anything a quire can do, a scroll can do too.

The only difference is whether you want to bind it afterwards.
