I am very sorry, but I must withdraw from this game. Please give my spot to someone on the waitlist or wants to play.

I guess that's why they call it science fiction...
.~.

Sci-fi's a good way to explore weird concepts that you wouldn't be able to encounter in regular life. What's interesting is that the closer you get to actual science in your descriptions, the genuinely weirder, more interesting and powerful sci-fi tends to get, since actual reality very often challenges our preconceptions of how things should be. Take the idea of four-velocity, for instance, or how the event horizon of a black hole works, where all of your possible escape trajectories point into the past due to space and time getting horrifically twisted.

In this case, properly approximating spaceflight makes combat in space that much stranger and thought-provoking. It's not really required, mind you, if the Star Wars experience is what you'd like best, but to me it's something of a missed opportunity.

Of course, if airmen shooting aliens is what you'd like, why not do a planetary air force vs. aliens setting?

Hey, guys, I'm sorry, but I think I'm going to have to discontinue this forum game.
It's clear to me now that I don't know enough about the technical aspects of the subject to portray this in a semi-realistic manner (which had been my intention). I had some cool concepts for the Seraph, and I do think I will, at some point, use them again in a slightly different setting, but I think this game is dead.
Sorry.
