Judo is pretty great to deal with agressive feelings, since it involves a lot of discipline and is a inherently defensive martial art, unlike karate which is inherently offensive. Kendo or Kenjutsu is also pretty good in that regard, but it requires special equipment and its not very easy to find kenjutsu schools in most places.

T'ai chi ch'uan (or Tai Chi) is a pretty good martial art for calming yourself because it also involves medidation, while also being a mostly defensive martial art.

Right, not to beat about the bush, lately I've been thinking of, writing about, heck, even dreaming about, things that are of a less-than-pleasant nature. Voluntarily. Of course, I'm in my early teens: it's probably just a phase, like the myriad whiny 'emo' kids on Facebook. The only reason I'm asking about this is because I wrote a short story and felt very pleased with it, then the next day took one look at it and deleted it from my laptop. It would make good creepypasta material, except it wasn't really written thus. This shook me up quite a bit, and I've tried to rationalise it.
To be concise, is this normal? In all other aspects of life I'm perfectly happy, and life is great. I just seem to have suddenly unlocked a great capacity for horrible things.

It's only normal if you embrace it. Feeling conflicted about a part of yourself won't do you any good. Try exhausting this side of yours instead of hiding it to see if it goes away.

Most people, when they're young(er), have a phase where they're obsessed with a given creature, often mythological. Dragons in particular are a frequent target of such fixations because of their obvious badassery and frequent appearances in various media, but it can apply to anything. I've witnessed a kid having a cheetah fixation. :v
