Also, don't vampires get negative thoughts from not being able to drink? Or from sleeping in the bloody dirt for that matter?
Vamps don't sleep.

I also think he would enjoy sleeping in the dirt if it was bloody.

Alright so I get why the vampire doesn't eat the tapir, but I'm still not entirely convinced that the tapir doesn't eat the vampire because it's also a night creature. Last time I checked the wiki said that werecreatures will attack other werecreatures, but not their own kind (that is, a weretapir would attack a weremammoth but not another weretapir) and the vampire isn't a weretapir, so I don't see why the tapir wouldn't attack the vampire.

I think negative thoughts come from being thirsty not from how long it's been since they've had something to drink. Since vampires don't get thirsty they don't get bad thoughts from not drinking. They also don't sleep. I've never tried containing a werebeast and vampire in close proximity but vampires being ignored by werecreatures is the only thing I can think of.
