A small problem on keybinding solved
« on: August 02, 2014, 09:09:57 am »

Hi dorfs, I happened to solve a small bug on keybinding, where in the last version of the starter pack, we had a " = " instead of " + " for navigating most list menu ingame

You only have to use my version of interface.txt in the data/init folder

I hope you'll find this useful.

There was discussion about this recently in the Starter Pack thread. This isn't really a bug. Different keyboards have different layouts, especially laptops which don't have a number pad and a lot of people are using laptops to play DF now. Also, different countries use different keyboard layouts, so you may have to adjust to your preference.

I myself use - and = above the bracket keys on my keyboard whether I'm using a laptop or not because then if I move my game over to a laptop, I don't need to remember to press Shift + when scrolling downward in a list.

Mister Adams,
How many licks does it take to get to the [candy] center of a Dwarf Fortress?
