Artic Oceans

Does anyone know how to get an artic ocean....every world I gen they are covered by ice. Short of making a frozen wasteland.

Play around with the advanced world gen's temperatures (set them high). i know that if you set them low you can end up with freezing tropical oceans, so im pretty sure that tropical / temperate / Arctic is at least partially based on how far north/south and not actual temperature. or that might be due to having high temperature variance and using meshes highly weighted at 0-20 and 80-100

by going into d_init and setting [LOG_MAP_REJECTS:YES] will help if you keep having rejected maps.... though i have noticed once that world gen will now ask if you want to allow rejects after 10 of the same rejection (haven't seen that in .34)
