There's nothing illegal with jump starting a car and its very useful skill. Same with changing a tire.

Vocabulary and grammar.

Vocabulary has by far been the most abundant and useful thing for me to pick up, and learning to twist myself around words has proved to be an effective tool in any interpersonal situation - the more words you know, the less mute you are!

Try codecademy or udacity for programming/computer scinece, or coursera for just about anything.
