^ So much.
But at higher skill levels, it becomes a great team player, airblasting projectiles away from teammates, blowing away stickies, catching spies, and stopping an enemy's uber.

-Most of pyro's weapons are low damage, which can make medics or anything that puts out fire a pain
-The pyro weapons that can do a ton of damage require you to be right on top of the enemy
-Airblasting is fucking hard, doesn't work on everything, and can't be done reliably if the enemy is right on top of you
-Pyro is heavily encouraged to get in close, but isn't fast and isn't tough.  Backpedaling enemies are a problem, as are closerange powerhouses like heavies or skilled soldiers
-Ambiguous gender and lack of communication skills mean seduction isn't an option

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

With all of the new weapons, misc items, and hats, I honestly don't know what the fuck is going on in TF2 anymore. The vanilla (and pre-community update) pyro was not without its weaknesses. Sure it could do some annoying stuff to you before you had a chance to react, but what class can't?

There's my unhelpful post for the day.

Pretty much this. As an engie holding a point, a decent pyro is pretty much the only support you need to keep a point locked down even against much higher numbers.

As for pyro:

F2P Phlog W+M1 pyros are dumb and can be defeated with tactics. They still feel OP tough.
The flare gun is slow and has one projectile, unless you can aim very well you miss a lot. Any smart player will dodge it. And the shotgun is an awesome weapon too.

All in all, the pyro is generally a class that you need to learn to play. I have spent many hours perfecting my airblast reflexes and dominating pubbies. It's certainly not an easy class.

I would call the heavy an easy class, but that's not entirely true either, because the difference between a noob vanilla heavy and a pro vanilla heavy is noticeable, especially for me as pyro. I guess engineer would be the simplest class, but the same case as with the heavy. I once got to the top of the scoreboards with a gunslinger, a strategically placed minisentry, a teleporter and a dispenser. I just hung around my stuff and replaced the minisentry every now and then while my team zerged forward and fell back to get heals.

Oh, and airblasting requires skill, especially for the faster projectiles like arrows. Map knowledge is a must too, because you need to get close to enemies and you can't do that if you reach a dead end.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Point is, with enough skill any class can defeat any other class. Which is all that matters, actually.

I fully agree with this.

Pyro has major problems taking out heavies unless they can hit and run with the flare gun or surprise them with the axtinguisher.  Pyro also has problems with competent scouts who can just out range the flame thrower and use their primaries.  Well placed SGs also stop pyros as reflected rockets are ineffective.  Reflects are hard and even harder against direct hit/liberty launcher soldiers.

So yeah, pyro is rather well balanced and the low skill ceiling means he is rare in high level play.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.
