You can just do what I do and re-direct it to more useful things, like arguing with people on the internet. Don't go around trying to make yourself seem like a better person to yourself, that's not going to help. Just start focusing on getting things you want or need to get done, and do it. Once you actually start doing things, you'll start feeling better about yourself.
