((It is important to remember that this is a game where we can die pretty easily, the ship is tough to destroy, but if this is like FTL there are plenty of events that can and will just kill individual crew members, like the one where you go into a abandoned station and one of your crew members die of disease, later on it might be different if we get some other options (anti-personell or self-defense drone, medbay 2 ect), but as it is now being cautions is the right way to go. It might be less murderous then the game, I don't want to take that risk)).

The laser salvo easily knocked away the shields of the station, and slammed against the hull. After a brief second, the station was rocked by small explosions until the outpost dissappeared in brilliant golden explosion.

There was no way that the station's reactor was that powerful - the station must've been booby-trapped with high-yield explosives.

Who knows what would remain of the Kestrel or the crew if they triggered the explosives during the search or whilst docking the ship to the station.

After the dust dissipated, station was no more.

Whilst the station, prior to destruction, looked like a piece of componenets and scrap for taking, that the rest of debris weren't. The crew managed to salvage very little of the useful parts.

"FTL engine at standby." The computer said after some time.
