then go forth and repopulate the world..... with you.

"The best thing about being me... There are so many "me"s."

That said, thank you, Hotaru. I've been wanting to experiment with a husk adventurer for some time, so this gives me a great opportunity.

Do post if you find something interesting.

Does anyone know if you can find curious structures without a bottom layer and with one cavern layer only? Because I'm thinking I might go underground looking for one with her. She has sword skill after all... and doesn't die very easily if at all.

Edit: doesn't look good. The shallow world generation process was a success (I think I had erosion cycles set to 10000, too) - it's only like 40 z-levels deep even on the hilly terrain I embarked. But even having embarked on the largest possible area, I'm not seeing a weapon in the stocks.

Edit 2: So yeah. I've successfully genned a world where the z-level depth is mostly ~ 20. It is actually semi-possible for me to play a 16x16 embark on this. I also haven't found curious structure. Success in one way, failure to think ahead in another. Sorry about that.

It is said knowledge is like a foul-smelling herb. It must be cooked well and thoroughly with experience to make it palatable. A young scholar's knowledge is therefore not only worthless but disgusting. -- In Dwarf Fortress you have another paradigm. Gather as much of that smelly herb as you can and toss it at your enemy, fracturing his skull through the +capybara man leather cap+.

Kobolds and Goblins can build cities? Are you using edited raws or do they build explorable structures in the default game?

Yes, I described the changes in the first post. Giving goblins, kobolds and elves the ability to build cities and expand on the map and making dwarves cave dwellers was the gist of it. The creatures themselves are unedited, although elves were also given extra professions.

I find this makes adventure mode much more interesting.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, because I've put the region 1 folder in the save directory and it doesn't show up in the game. Can anyone help me out here?

I may have an idea about what's wrong now, since I downloaded the save for own use. Windows naturally extracts it into a folder called region1 inside a folder called region1. Make sure this "duplication" of the region1 folder doesn't exist, that the save data files are directly inside the region1 folder.
