I went to Mass today as part of an assignment on multiculturalism.  Surprisingly pleasant, they're very quick about things.  It was an hour long almost to the minute, and most of it was spent standing up and sitting down while a distractingly beautiful woman sang about Jesus and the usual stuff.  Afterward I talked to the priest who was a real bro.  We talked about literature and he's all "So who's your favorite female American author?"  I couldn't think of one, though in retrospect he was obviously driving at a specific female American Catholic author, Flannery O'Connor.  Thankfully I'd read A Good Man is Hard to Find and really really loved it, so I didn't completely drop the ball, though I was intimidated (I'm always intimidated and introverted around people I feel are better than me)

Good to hear this worked out pleasantly. There are a hundred ways to screw up this sort of stuff and some groups are desperate about it.

Super Charisma!

Yup, the program is super janky. It didn't generate that punctuation at all.

Maryland is where the drivers of the lawless Virginia wasteland go to be dangers to all living things on and off the road

Can someone tell me the name of that mod that is under development that is basically a forge version of BTW?
Better with Forge?
I think it was Better Than Forge? It was a very under the table deal so you will probably find more hits for the BTW forums than the actual project.

Ars Magica looks fantastic except for the actual graphics, looks sorta janky. When it stops having such wild incompatibilities with other mods I'll give it a deeper look.

It's more the concept than execution. TC3 uses aspects in every item to do its transmutation and the process is a little lossy, losing one nugget of a bar every time and most of them are equal with one or two extra aspects thrown in. EE3 does a straight equal trade for arbitrary amounts, like eight iron for one gold. When the creator of EE3 throws out alternate concepts from what he has used before I'll revise my statement, but I'm only seeing him change the medium through this process happening and not the process itself much.

The map has EE3, but it's only accessible after using Thaumcraft alchemy to frame how much better it is.

Normally I'm not terribly interested in skyblock maps, primarily because building air structures that look nice is a pain in the ass. Feed The Beast was a nifty idea to give them more of a purpose and introduce a ton of mods, but the dependance on EE2 turned me off. I dislike how EE turns all resources into a universal nebulous currency and those maps depend entirely on that.

Sky Den is a similar map that uses custom NPC's with custom trades to get all the resources you can't immediately grow. It was actually pretty fun to play. Doesn't even have many mods, primarily Redpower, Thaumcraft 3 and a few small mods like Enchanting Plus, Treecapator and the NPC mod that makes it all possible.

But really the saving grace of it is giving you the tools for making an automatic cobble harvester the moment you reach the Skyden.

Just got back from a superbowl party. I've already confessed my insecurities in relationships with others here but not with that circle of friends, so when out of the blue when somebody asked me to come to the party it was pretty nice. A lot of people I have not seen in a while reached out to me.

Still have no idea why Beyonce was preforming in a giant goblet though

Trickster mode did dual duty as a way to get the kids to their quest beds while also being a cautionary tale against Deus ex Machina.

It was Deus ex Machina, ironically.

Silverwood trees require a little aura to grow. Hopefully a tool that simulates a node will be added to Thaumcraft, or this mod adds that worldgen functionality.

There is a tool in the mod to link two doors of different "trees", so you can have doors all over the map to a central hub. They just need quite a few ender pearls for all the doors and links you'll be making.

Make yourself a pocket dimension for building your workshop in. I hope you feel ender pearls are enough of a cost for a cool little toy? Major problem is a lack of aura in those places when playing Thaumcraft.

So, has something been changed in worldgen recently? The last few maps I started have all spawned near an NPC village, often within easy viewing distance.
3/4 times I make a new world I'm stuck in an endless snowy forest. Randomness just has it out for some people. I wish the game forced certain features to generate within the spawning area, like at least one village and one extreme hills biome.

It's almost like other communities can handle having a modding community
