Vampires don't make armor out of victims and elves in elven settlements tend to be surrounded by elves.

Any other evidence? If not, try unleashing a nearby zombie or something and see what happens.

limestone 4th: the horses are givving birth another day to celebrate! also  the  leaves are turning oranges, very pretty. the elf in hte dwarfbone armor is a bit creepy but is otherwise a very sociable person. she cant be a vampire or anything like that! she probably was a warior or somthing.

moonstone 4th: the leaves have fallen the elves are cold and the animals are hiding winter  is a horrible time of the year we got to drink booze to be hydrated... the main tree house is complete and we are making it higher so our elf's can live in it... we are adding more tree so it can sport the weight.

i heard a bird call yester day that let me know that this is only gonna be temperary.

well that is extremely awkward it appears]  i had a accident. while i was building a second  tree house and it collapsed because i forgot that bridges does not support stuff it collapsed right on top of our supposed vampire subject  so if she is the vampire she is dead and if not well damn it.

opal 16th: we are starting our second tree house: the alchemists one just for him. but while everyone was busy we found... in the fields.. someone.... completely pale... and no blood at all... there was fang marks on her throat but... no animal whould even hurt a elf let alone  kill one i feel scared... everyone but the girl  in the bone armor seemed horrified bye it...

15th granite-i still cant get over how... shes gone... but anyways spring arrived and the trees leaves grew very fast! so the herbalists are actualy doing somthing! it did seem a little odd that it didnt snow at all during inter and yet the plants  went into hibernation... we just finished the memorial but the  alcemists  tree house is still being built... the woman that was building the   tree house  got infected... she didnt live.... but the settlement lives on everyone is still ok... how ever it seems that the dwarfs, goblins and everyone else seems to just shun us as if we are not even here. its very odd

2nd slate- i checked on the animals... there is teeth EVERYWHERE! and  the grass is all gone... it looks as if its barren  like... barren  you chould actually see the dirt. it was scary... and there was.. blood... spattered every where.... and one of the horses look completely weird with no teeth at all and it has scars on its belly...i think it might starve because it cant eat without teeth... i am gonna  see if i can nurse them up but.. if they cant i think were going to have to end its pain... but atleast we can sutain our selves and let the grass regrow....
