After slither.io hit it big, there were a *lot* of .io games that came out en-masse.

Of course, with a huge market and only so many players, a lot of those games are basically fake-multiplayer, populated by bots instead of other players.

I attempted to contact Vector over PM to give them FTL, but they have not responded. I'm posting here just in case there's something wrong with messages, it definitely seems like something is up with mine.

Ignore the campfire closer to the forest, by the by. The campfire we're referring to is right on the edge of the river.

Or, I guess you don't have to ignore that campfire, it might also have people there, but they're probably not the same people.

I have an old copy of FTL: Faster Than Light I can chip in. I may add more later.

Let's say the 25th for FTL, since there's nobody giving away anything on that day yet. Feel free to put it somewhere else, though, I'm unconcerned about the specific date as long as I'm notified when the drawing is.

My Steam Account. I have read the rules.

I'd also like to sign up for Project Wingman.

Also I've seen some people who've bought keys from key sellers get their keys revoked because Steam or whatever is able to figure out that the particular key was purchased illegally.

Since you want suggestions:

1. Don't announce fan works like this until it's already ready for release. That's how you get DMCA'd before you can even distribute copies.

2. Since you've already failed step 1, your 'version 1.0' feature-complete game should be released as your '0.99' final beta version. Seems like historically some companies will let a project work right up until they're about to release their feature-complete version before kicking them in the shins.

3. Your scope is insane for a 2-person project, especially for someone who (after stalking through your posts) has very little experience developing games. I know it's boring, but make something small for your first project. Something you can achieve in a few months to a year. You need the experience before you dive into a huge project, or your foundational code is going to be a mess and you won't be able to build on top of it well.

Whether you heed all of this or none of it, good luck. If nothing else, when you end up with something that sucks and you hate it and yourself and life, just keep going. Everyone starts somewhere, and that somewhere is usually at the bottom of the garbage bin. The lucky ones are the kids who got started on their passion when they were toddlers and seem like natural talents because all their failures ended up never leaving the walls of their childhood home.

There's a game I had in the early 00s that was a helicopter flight simulator. Specifically, the only vehicle simulated was an MH-60 Jayhawk, and you played as a Coast Guard pilot running various rescue missions. It was a properly hardcore flight sim as well, at least to the extent that a helicopter sim could manage in the early 00s. Being a child, I wasn't very good at it, but I at least managed to be good enough to occasionally succeed at the missions.

I'm not sure what I could say to really differentiate the game from others, but I remember there being a ship that could be landed on or could even sink on one of the missions as well as the game simulating rotor wash making people in the water drown faster.

Bayonetta is a beat-em-up style game about a witch with magic hair who fights God.

Fran Bow is a point-and-click adventure horror about a disturbed little girl.

I don't know the other one.

The Twitch launcher is pretty awful, yeah. Mainly in mod installation. I've never had it install a mod right the first time, so it's kind of a matter of beating your head against it until it yields.

Frankly, the dino mod hasn't impressed me. So far I've seen nothing but Compsognathus, which appear in some basements and wildlife offices and don't fight at all unless you're weak.

As far as I could tell, the dinosaurs were not treated as wildlife when I tried that. They were just as nonexistent as everything else.

I personally made a mod that got rid of all zombies. It makes prowling through cities way more mild, as unless your character is particularly skilled or well-equipped, zombies are honestly the biggest threats you have to deal with unless you straight up don't have cities at all. Honestly, it's a bit too quiet up until the other populations start spreading and moving in.

I get the feeling Lester's beliefs became much, much stronger after that.

Hilariously, clothing is a surprisingly important consideration in a real apocalypse scenario.

Most clothing is made out of biodegradable material. Without people taking care of it, the great majority of clothes are going to rot away, and even of the stuff people are taking care of, conventional wear and a lack of modern washing techniques are going to quickly result in unusable clothes. Being able to process cloth and use it to make new clothing is super important, especially in an environment where exposure is a serious concern (read: almost everywhere on Earth depending the season).

Of course, most doomsday preppers do not have this skill, because honestly, who thinks of tailors in the apocalypse?

Mount & Blade and Warband are the same base game, but it's worth considering that the original M&B has a lot of mods that never got ported to Warband, so it's worth getting both if you like modding.

The heart is actually capable of healing, but not under 'standard operating conditions'. Given that it's a muscle that doesn't stop working until you die, it really doesn't have time to stop and repair itself, meaning any healing that happens is very slow and has to work around a heart that's trying to still do its job. I remember when I was a lot younger reading a news story about a patient healing their heart after being hooked up to a blood circulation machine. Though I can't find that information to cite it, a quick Google search shows that there's a lot of research into using stem cells and other techniques to make the heart much more capable of healing.
