Demo's ready.
It's just the first part of the first level, with no way to end it yet except by closing the game.

Actually it's what popped up when I hit $ while using the symbols font, I added the line to make it less boring to look at.

Since nobody seems to care about that arena game I've decided to work on yet another bullet hell game.

This one is much faster paced than Cube Lord with a more realistic style of graphics. (Well, as real as my horrible artistic skills can get at any rate.)

Anyways I've got a demo version that contains the first level complete with an early, but fully functional, version of the boss. (it only lacks some graphical stuff like engines.)

Screenshots, note the interface is still very early in development.

How to play.

Arrow keys move, spacebar to shoot.
Bosses are modular, destroy the core to kill them.

Health may be restored by killing a certain amount of enemies.
I'm thinking power-ups will be awarded at level end with the player choosing a permanent upgrade from a selection.
Due to the way bosses are made later ones can be expected to be huge.

Shooterthingy's blood looked awkward along with the tron-ish mecha style, but that may just be me.
The boss in Another Shooter was cool. It vaguely reminded me of Fraxy.
In Another Shooter, it seems that both the enemy bullets and your hitbox are tiny. For difficulty, shouldn't at least one of them be large? Maybe I'm just too used to big bullets and a small hitbox.
I liked the death animation with the enemies' wrecked ships plunging down the screen. The big red explosion when they hit the bottom at first looks like it is meant to damage, though, being big and red.

Overall, the games are nice. Nothing too unique, but they're fun, like many commercial flash games.
Develop onward!

Just found it, I have to say the one I enjoyed the most was shooter thingy, though I was disappointed when I couldn't go back for more upgrades, and the initial ones I kind of chose at random. Another shooter was also neato.

I had already noticed the hitbox issue earlier, the next version will have a bigger one.

I guess I'll work on that shooter thingy again once I'm done with Another Shooter.

Oh one very important thing to keep in mind is that the first level of Another Shooter is supposed to be a warm up, the REAL much harder game starts on level two.

Got the next level done, among other things.

Added some sound effects.
Added level up system, kill stuff to get stronger.
Added health item, shoot enough to restore some health.
Removed explosion effect when dead enemies hit the bottom of the screen.
Added two new enemies.
Added boss decorations.
Bosses can now move.
When fighting larger bosses it is possible to move further up and down.
And some other stuff I forgot about, but are undoubtedly very important.

It takes 100 exp to level up and most enemies give 1.
Each boss section gives 1 exp while the core gives 20.
Current lvl Bonuses
lvl 2 - 1/2 damage
lvl 3 - Missiles
lvl 4 - Improved main gun
