I was leafing through combat reports vs. various wildlife in Fortress mode, when I came across this little gem:

I kind of pictured it balancing on its tails and holding up curled-up fins in a boxing stance... Of course, its mouth would point straight upwards.  :D

This is a known typographical error. Really got me at first, same with 'The [aquatic animal] has drowned!'

In terms of being underwater, I suppose it's come off the bottom of the water? If it was on land, maybe it flopped up a bit? The phrase '[fish] has drowned' occurs because they suffocate in air, but not due to damage. Just typographical errors.

maybe it's not an error?

the fish stands up. he is now on his belly and not flopping around on his side :)
