Misc suggestions

I can't remember if I've created a thread for all of these, so I just compile here my suggestions.

9) Temperature-affected entities under the Build menu, such as flammable wooden walls and melting stone fortifications (in the presence of magma).

10) Post-fortress world/history generation.

I'm liking all of these, especially 7. When/If multi-tile creatures are properly implemented I can see that one being pretty exciting.

Number one will require a lot of new frameworks to be invented for that to work.

Number two already happens.

I dont get number four. Also, Tentacle Monsters to my knowledge is still a possible Forbidden Beast.

Well, for Number 5, the weapon that kills a megabeast is treated like a Psedo Artifact, and the person becomes a historical figure as well. Those are affects.

For Number Six, Goblins don't seem to make their own cities, that seems to just be a human trait. Even though goblins can and do live in those cities. Goblin civilizations seem to like to make towers and maybe castles or dungeons, but not cities.  So this is something left for modders. Feel free to adjust the Goblins raws so that they make cities. Also, just BOo for placeholders in general.

Number seven already exist. That's what the Huge Creature variant is for.

Number eight is planned. I believe Toady said that the Moon Counter could support multiple moons.

Number nine is planned.

Number ten is the current active goal.

Number eleven is also sorta planned too. I think from a Dwarf Talk, Toady wasn't really sure how to make human mines work.

Well 11 isn't really about Human mines in terms of what is taking Toady so long.

It is more about Off sites. Or rather things that are built outside of cities.

Yea, mines should physically exist in the world. And that means adventures can go visit them. And that goes back to Toady not sure how to make them work.

At the moment you can't really tell whether gods are real or not as they don't do anything. When in newest release they can finally do stuff, Toady didn't mention anything implying that some of them would still be fake. I didn't mean "Demon impersonates a god" type of fakeness, I meant god not existing at all.

Also, check the underground sites from legend list, all of them are listed as "Unnamed underground area" with one being named "unnamed underworld area". It would be nice for them to have actual names and more details than "Forridden beast started wandering caverns!" or "Demon escaped" or "[X] Tamed [Creatures]". Also, 40d version had four type of demons, toad demons, tentacle demons, fire demons and demons. With demons being leader of demons or goblins.(and I'd like return of demons being able to have tentacles because of jokes you can make of them)

Kinda funny that out of all the races... it is Dwarves who will be the last to actually have real cities.

As for #1... The "Minor Races" (as I call them) don't even REALLY form tribes and civs of their own much at all. Also true "Uplift" is a lot more complex. For example giving weapons and armor to the Native Americans didn't uplift them almost at all.

Also semantics, but I guess I should have said "Visitable sites in adventure mode" instead of cities...

And I know that uplift isn't just giving items, but I wasn't in mood to elobrate more.(My own personal idea would have been uplifting them to the point that they can become their own civilization. Also they used to be listed in civilization screen previously and legends lists some of them as civilizations too.(With name "")

No but if the Giant critters were capable of being fished out.

though currently "Giant" fish cannot be fished to my knowledge. It makes me honestly wonder how anyone gets that "Shark leather" material.

But that's the purpose of the Giant Creature variant. They're the monster, dire version of the creature.

The animal tribes aren't meant to become a civilization in their own right. That's actually against their intended purpose. And them being listed in the civilization screen was a bug. This is what's modding for.

Some Giant versions are "Dire" (The Rats for example) but otherwise many of the giants are just giant.

Otherwise they wouldn't be "Legendary carp/catfish/whatever of the lake" it would be "Lake with giant whatever"

But yeah, fishing giant fishes would be cool.

Edit: At the "It being bug thing"... Well, thats a bummer. Them being just random humanoid version of animals is kinda boring. I guess the "Tigermen becoming pets by buying them from elves" thing will be fixed too...

And yes, you can't visit goblin towers, only humans have sites.(well, okay, other races DO have bandit camps and kobolds have their camps, but yeah)

Then that's what the forbidden beasts are. Some of them can swim and you can change where the forbidden beasts can originate. Through modding.
